The phrase “Schreiben wir uns zusammen” that on the surface means something like “let’s write to each other again in more detail” actually implies a postponement. In the performance, the artists type excerpts from their shared chat history in a poetic arrangement on two typewriters facing each other—messages in which they attempt to get closer to one another. The time and effort spent cancelling meet ups, for which there is supposedly no capacity is made visible. In a world that is seemingly always connected, we lose ourselves in constant contact. On the postcards created for the performance, visitors can reconnect with a long-lost friend.
