Format
The works developed in the workshop explore mycelium as a living material and active agent. At the intersection of biological growth, material practices, and speculative future the works engage with processes of shaping, binding, and becoming. Emerging from the tension between control and organic growth, the resulting textile and hybrid material studies challenge conventional ideas of production, surface, and structure. Rather than relying on traditional manufacturing methods, they emphasize processes of growth, cultivation, and collaboration with living systems.
