This dual-screen video installation presents two applied artistic research projects that explore "4th" Nature", where human and non-human species coexist and reshape urban and natural environments, imagining future other spaces. The "Atlas of Habitats" (Austria & Liberia) is a growing digital archive that investigates hidden animal habitats across forests, oceans, and abandoned buildings using 3D scanning, thermal imaging, and film. The project emerged through collaboration with eco-guards, beekeepers, and wood experts, forming part of the INTRA project "Interspecies Nursery". Tamale’s Inner-Urban Ecologies (Ghana) examines three urban open spaces in Tamale. Eight young researchers engage with the co-existence of species in these public spaces, employing spatial, artistic, and scientific methodologies. This collaborative project involves [applied] Foreign Affairs (Angewandte), the University for Development Studies (UDS), and Nuku Studio, Tamale, under the framework of an AfricaUninet project grant.
