Since the foundation of the department of Sculpture and Space, the collective lunch has been an essential part of our weekly class meetings. The cooking team in charge is faced with similar considerations as when developing an artistic work: which ingredients are to be associated, how do they need to be processed, what form do they take and who is my meal aimed at? The care that comes with cooking for others, the sharing of food and the table conversations are essential to our relationships. Last year, the idea to illustrate the practice of cooking in the form of an artist's book evolved. Since then, students, teachers and alumni have been working on this cookbook that will be presented during the Angewandte Festival. As part of a course by Eva Seiler, participants are developing a table setting for Paulusplatz, on which the publications and artistic works will be shown. On Thursday 27th June, every full hour from 11:00 a.m. onwards, a culinary programme will take place.
