Inter- and cross-disciplinary, transversal thinking are fundamental components of meaning creation in contemporary (university and school) education. The challenges presented by an increasingly complex and volatile world require solutions that reconcile divergent perspectives. The journal EDU:TRANSVERSAL offers the possibility of bringing together research results from (inter-)national transversal epicenters and thus mapping the state of the art of interdisciplinarity to spark a transversal turn in education. The publication is part of the university’s book series “Edition Angewandte,” published by de Gruyter.
