Each year, the Praxis Pavilion explores the possibilities of utilizing machining techniques as a means of making as well as a design apparatus. It aims to broaden students' digital design and manufacturing skills through making. This year's pavilion investigates machinable wood joinery techniques. After developing several joinery types, students designed and built a full-scale structure offering a meditative sitting experience inspired by the vernacular architecture of the Borneo archipelago.
