Manuscripts, letters, the documents of a life, and various objects in a collection—the Konrad Bayer Archive houses the legacy of a writer, editor, reader, lover, bank official, student, patient, etc. In a year-long collaborative project, students investigated how a notation made in a pocket diary can turn into literature. Is it possible to demonstrate how people become authors and authors become characters? How does raw material transform into fabric? Language Arts students present their paraphrases, transcriptions, and continuations of the Bavarian materials and resources.
