Know? How? is a collaborative exhibition project conceived by students from KKP - Art and Communicative Practice and DEX - Design, Material Culture and Experimental Practice with Isin Önol (visiting professor) and in collaboration with students from other programmes. The curatorial process is the result of a two-semester exploration of the complexities of knowledge production in the artistic environment. Investigating shifting approaches to the phenomenon in the field of art education, the project uses a fictional retrospective analysis with tendencies in contemporary artistic practices. What knowledge do we produce? What knowledge do we consume? What are the modes of learning and un-learning? How can these dynamics be translated artistically? Together we want to propose questions and invite everyone to join the collaborative search for answers. Other festival contributions by the KKP, DAE and TEX departments are the exhibitions "evidence raum" and "Threads of life" at AIL.
